Miniatures Exhibition in Brussels

Miniatures Exhibition in Brussels

I first saw Michel Hanse’s exquisite miniatures at an artifacts’ open market on a rainy day in Brussels last August.

What is special about Hanse, is that he genuinely represents a whole micro-world in his works. His human miniatures are not just individual works of art one each; they all make part of a much bigger picture, an ongoing action of a team of tiny little people, beautifully represented in a vivid miniature environment which makes you feel they’ll start walking around in any minute. A concert, a gallery, a busy restaurant kitchen, a school or an office. That is why I recommend that you see his work in the context of an exhibition like the upcoming one in Brussels, starting today and until Sunday on Avenue du Port 86 (Tour et Taxis Exhibition), open from 10-19.00 local time.

And if you like what you see -which is pretty sure- you can take a little art with you, as Michel’s prices are very down-to-earth compared to the amount of talents and effort he puts in every miniature.
