“Fashion Under Construction” shopping in Athens

“Fashion Under Construction” shopping in Athens

A competition ran by www.konstandi.com worked as the main motive for me to visit the 4th Fashion Under Construction Festival on a day when Athens was paralysed by a 48 hours general strike.

Curious about the present I had been notified that I had won, my friend Maria and I walked several kilometres to Stavlos Cafe in Thission, just to realise that the shopping event was worth a bigger budget than the one we had brought with us – not because of high prices, but because of the many fashion and beauty bargains we didn’t know we would have discovered at the Festival.

Take a look at what I brought back home with me and make sure you don’t miss the 2nd and last day of the event, tomorrow from 13.00 to 23.00.

My first buy for the evening was the only beauty buy from the event. This “Celtic Addict” soap by “Soap Addicts” is unlike any other aromatic soap I have ever smelled. The alyssum essential oil is a divine fragance I don’t even have the words to describe. It really touched me, I don’t know how or why, but it’s probably the best herbal soap I’ve ever smelled. And I’m a huge herbs & organic fan, I can assure you. My friend Maria who was accompanying me to the Festival bought a facial soap from the same label, with olive oil and jasmine. I’ll ask her to write a review as soon as she’s tried it for a couple of weeks. Both soaps were 5 euros each. In the meanwhile, we both also liked the natural lip balms from Natural Essence, a bargain for only 2 euros.

Up the stairs of the cafe to the 2nd level of the Festival, I was so happy to find out what I had won at the competition. The “Fairy De-tales” beads and lace bracelet matched perfectly my fave Christian Audigier tee (bought from 34 The Shop, Nicosia, Cyprus)

Although, the bracelet was not the only thing that caught my eye at the “Fairy De-tales” display. I completely fell for the heart-shaped pendants in candy colors, 10 euros each so that you can’t resist buying more than one.

I couldn’t leave these beauties behind either. The fluffy hearts earrings by Nicoleta Pavlaki are all I need to start my day with a smile. Oh, and they only cost me 5 euros. HOW amazing?

…AND they have a matching fluffy heart ring to go with, PLUS these pop “LOVE” handmade soaps, all by Nicoleta Pavlaki.
