World-renowned designers design for traditional Mexican rag doll

These rag dolls are not dressed in rags anymore. 13 world-renown and local designers created unique outfits to dress traditional Mazahua rag dolls for the 4-day “Tribute to Mexico” exhibition

Mexican designers Christian Cota and Macario Jimenez joined world famous colleagues and brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Max Mara,  Kenzo, Veronica Etro, Tory Burch, Lacoste and BCBG Max Azria to design tiny pieces of clothing especially for the so-called “Maria” doll, a rag doll with long braids, sold as a souvenir in touristic areas of Mexico.

The exhibition is a brilliant idea in the context of festivities for Fashion’s Night Out in Mexico City, organised by Vogue Mexico and Latin America.

[PaulaTrendsets.com welcomes photos of more dolls of the exhibition than the ones listed]
