Louboutin SUES over SHOES

Louboutin SUES over SHOES

Celebs’ favourite shoe designer Christian Louboutin sues both YSL and a Brazilian brand over shoes.

I’m not speaking in puns, it’s actually true that Louboutin is enraged with the House of YSL for adding HIS OWN trademark red soles to THEIR shoes. Mr Louboutin has started a legal battle against the french fashion House, claiming 1 million dollars in damages. It’s been since 1991 that Louboutin uses red soles on his marvellous footwear and, sadly enough for YSL, the designer has registered his trademark red soles in 2008.

My favourite pair of Louboutins, these hard-to-find pointed heels from the Graffiti Collection several seasons ago. An absolute eye-catcher.

2008 was too late though for registering the red soles when it comes to the second case on the same lawsuit, since the other brand that has been sued by Louboutin, Brazilian label Carmen Steffens, claims to have been creating women’s footwear with red soles since 1996.

Someone trademark these lilac soles before it's too late! LOL!
