Gothic Glamour Fashion

Gothic glamour makes an alluring comeback this party season as it reveals its most classy, sophisticated and fashionable side ever so far. The fabrics are lightweight, soft and delicate, bringing out the image of a subtle, mysterious, yet irresistible seductress.

Fashion editors at online shopping destination Farfetch say: “Designers have gone to imaginative lengths to recreate the cocktail space as a place to play with fantastical ideas. Frill dresses in devilish blacks from the likes of Nicopanda for example invoke the elaborate outfits of Angelina Jolie’s mythical Maleficent, while Oscar de la Renta’s blossom embellished ball gowns capture images of Alice in Wonderland wondering through meadows where flowers talk and Cheshire cats smile”

Darkness and mystery were also present on the catwalk of Kolchagov Barba for Autumn Winter 2015-16, inspired by “the intimacy and freedom of the Night“. The designs reflect and embrace its enigmatic side, strong yet delicate, combining classic couture with modern trends. Beautiful gowns from the brand’s Nightfall collection were picked up by Katie Piper and pregnant Sophie-Ellis Bextor for their red carpet appearences earlier this year.
