Dior goes militaire

The House of Dior has teamed with German artist Anselm Reyle for a limited collection of leather goods and fashion accessories.

The collection, now available in Dior boutiques worldwide, consists of handbags and purses, platform wedges and ballet flats, scarfs, bracelets, necklaces and sunglasses. A limited edition make-up range will soon follow.

Reyle, known for his stripe paintings, has created a bright camouflage pattern exploiding with neon colours and is bound to recruit an army of fashion to exciting summer adventures.

I havent seen anything camo he’s done but maybe I’m not up to date. I wonder if it will be like the Mitzah palette though and sold out the day it comes out!!!

I haven’t seen any Anselm Reyle camo before either. I can only assume that maybe he picked camo because it gives him freedom to play with colors as he usually does, without being too symmetrical, like it is in his colorful stripe paintings. With camo, not only does he keep the variety and vivacity of the colors, but he also makes their interaction more interesting, as the colors seem to be boundlessly and freely moving on the occassional “canvas” -leather bag or foulard or eyeshadow!
